The Role
The hours were long, the office was stressed, but it was amazing!!
Everyone was in it together to get the projects done. Nobody cared that you were an intern, if you could do the work you were treated with respect. If you had a good personality and was fun to hang out with, you were loved!
Everyone had limited time, but went out of their way to check I was understanding the work. At the end of the day its better for them to spend an extra 5 mins explaining something to you and you getting it done, than you doing something completely wrong for several hours
Not going to lie, you get alot of work to do, that you go way beyond the core hours. Its not just you, its the hole team. However, you get paid more than enough to cover for your extra hours.
Your not treated as "the intern" you are a member of the team, with your own work done and its up to you to get it done and meet your deadlines. Its tough, that you aren't given a break, but its good that you are push and treated like a team member, in the end you learn so much more.
Loads. I learnt so much about company valuations, the wonders of excel, how to write proper reports, how to think analytical and to truly think outside of the box
The Company
Everyone seemed to get along well. The work is stressful and everyone is busy, but whats better than a bit of banter and a few jokes here and there?
After a week of training and a week of getting up to scratch with the rest of the team, things were seamless after that and as if I was any other team member
The hole first week is pretty intense training, where you learn so much financial knowledge and IT skills. This will be invaluable for my dissertation and third year modules. If you ever need anything explained, any of the graduates are happy to help out as long as you show your keen to learn

The Culture
Yeah, we use to all go out on Fridays -- before putting in a Saturday/Sunday shift in the office though!
London, so its really expensive
London, so its amazing!!
Everyone came in at some point over the weekend, but the work load just means you bond together quicker. Friday night is a big night out, you can normally rally the troops for a Saturday night out too
