The Role
Everyone was so committed to ensuring you got the very best out of your placement.
There were some slow periods but it was a 12 week placement so I guess they did not want to intimidate you too much!
More than I expected from a summer placement but understandably I was not quite 'running the show' as the 10 star merit requests. I was given a huge amount of responsibility and the opportunity to feedback and make changes on core parts of the business which was incredibly exciting.
Unilever is truly committed to people, whether you are the CEO of the company or a summer placement. I went on courses, attended workshops and was given constructive criticism which will stay with me whilst I apply for graduate jobs.
The Company
It was fantastic. Everyone was so excited to be there, there was always ice-cream or cake around the office and often there were demonstrations of existing or upcoming products.
For the most part absolutely brilliant! The first couple of days were used to find my feet but apart from that it was incredibly well done.

Once you pass the summer placement, you get the invitation to final assessment day. I am waiting now for the day of my final assessment in order to find out whether I get onto the Unilever Future Leaders Programme.
The Culture
For the south east, it was cheaper than centre London as Unilever is based just outside in Leatherhead, Surrey.
