The Role
The Placement gave real life experience and enhanced my skill and knowledge to an extent that I am confident in producing professional standard work.
Everyone at Telesoft support you and do not expect the world from you as a placement student. If you happen to do well there is appraisal which makes you feel valued.
At no point during the placement was I overwhelmed by work or what was expected of me. On every new task/aspect of the job I was given support.
The workload given to you is based on your ability and the amount you can manage. You will never be expected to do something in a strict time-frame if you do not believe the time-frame is reasonable for the workload.
The amount of responsibility given to you depends on the project you are working on. I was definitely responsible for various important things that matter.
Professionalism, Documentation, Programming and Testing. These skills will serve my career. they have been more valuable then anything else I have learnt during my degree.
The Company
Slightly quiet but this all depends on the department you are based in.
Compared to various colleagues at university the placement was perfect.
Anything and everything you are required to do at this job come with good training.

The Culture
Nearest place for clubbing and part atmosphere is Bournemouth/Poole. Local pubs in the area which are quaint and kept me busy in the evening.
If you need lots happening to have fun, Blandford is a dull location but the bus and train to Poole/Bournemouth is cheap so its not an issue.
