  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • The Placement gave real life experience and enhanced my skill and knowledge to an extent that I am confident in producing professional standard work.

    • Everyone at Telesoft support you and do not expect the world from you as a placement student. If you happen to do well there is appraisal which makes you feel valued.

    • At no point during the placement was I overwhelmed by work or what was expected of me. On every new task/aspect of the job I was given support.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • The workload given to you is based on your ability and the amount you can manage. You will never be expected to do something in a strict time-frame if you do not believe the time-frame is reasonable for the workload.

    • The amount of responsibility given to you depends on the project you are working on. I was definitely responsible for various important things that matter.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Professionalism, Documentation, Programming and Testing. These skills will serve my career. they have been more valuable then anything else I have learnt during my degree.

    • Slightly quiet but this all depends on the department you are based in.

    • Compared to various colleagues at university the placement was perfect.

    • Anything and everything you are required to do at this job come with good training.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Nearest place for clubbing and part atmosphere is Bournemouth/Poole. Local pubs in the area which are quaint and kept me busy in the evening.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • If you need lots happening to have fun, Blandford is a dull location but the bus and train to Poole/Bournemouth is cheap so its not an issue.
