The Role
A fantastic experience which provided a great opportunity to understand the company and its work.
Colleagues made me feel like I was a genuine member of the team and the work I was conducting was important and worthwhile.
Weekly meetings were held with my supervisor to discuss my work, receiving valuable feedback on what I had done.
Office hours were generally 8.30 - 5 and I was busy pretty much the whole time.
I was pleasantly surprised with the responsibility given to myself during the internship - having more than initially anticipated. Tasks included working and uploading documents to the client file and liaising with very senior members.
Since I was provided with weekly and overall feedback I was able to recognise my developments and take these with me to university such as organisation and engaging with others in a team.
The Company
Young, fun and interesting colleagues
Always busy (but not too pressured) which was great and provided an opportunity to meet people of all levels within the firm.
