The Role
The placement was good fun, but much of the work given involved relatively menial tasks - with the occasional interesting piece of work. This is fully understandable given the inexperience of interns.
Colleagues could not have been more friendly and welcoming.
Great level of guidance given - my 'manager' introduced me to a large number of employees and ensured that I knew how to find work as well as helping me do so.
At some times I was very busy at others I had little to do and simply read up on my area.
I was not given much responsibility in terms of work, I was however taken along to shadow client meetings with senior figures in large companies.
The skills and knowledge I developed - particularly an understanding of business etiquette and the workings of a large company like PwC. The knowledge I developed of my field of work was furthermore invaluable.
The Company
very active and fun office - lots of young people and highly social.
very well organised.
A lot of investment put into interns within the office as well as prior to starting the internship e.g. an induction program in a hotel with 9-5 lessons and teambuilding exercises etc..
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
was offered a job in my exit interview - 98% of interns are offered a placement.
The Culture
Good social scene, although organised by interns - weekly drinks. Office as sociable as you make it - everyone very friendly.

London
Not too many opportunities - occasional drinks and events - an ideal amount I would say.
