The Role
I really enjoyed my time at PwC; it was hard work but all the employees were really great people and there were extra curricular activities too.
I was assigned tasks in which the eventual product of my work would help meet a deadline and be included in the audit evidence.
I was assigned a buddy and a People Manager to help me throughout the process and encouraged to ask whatever question I might have had.
There were some days when I was extremely busy but I never felt under too much pressure. Other days I was struggling for something to do but this gave me the opportunity to broaden my experience by doing different tasks for people in different departments.
Like before, the tasks I was assigned were included in the final audit file therefore the work I was doing felt valued. I was on an audit team the week of a deadline date and helped contribute to finishing on time and was rewarded accordingly.
I have accepted a job with PwC as a result of the internship and I feel that the internship has definitely provided great experience working in a professional working environment and I feel much more confident with the tasks I will be performing.
The Company
Hard working but very friendly. You are encouraged to talk to as many people as possible including senior staff.
The set up was excellently executed from the induction day to the placing of jobs etc.
I was given a PwC laptop and access to all the services that a PwC employee would normally have. The induction week was also a great help that must have come at a cost. A lot of time from the teams was also invested in making sure interns had enough to do and tht they could cope with it.
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. There is a lot of scope for development and movement throughout the organisation as well as working abroad, in different departments, offices etc.
The Culture
There were plenty of events organised ranging from pub quizzes, after work drinks and sporting activities etc
Average, same as what I am used to paying.
Very good, great to experience a new scene.
PLenty of extra curricular activities to get involved with.
