The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed it and have decided to take the job offered.
Along with constant feedback at an informal level, there were opportunities to arrange formal feedback with people managers and a final report at the end of the internship. The constant appreciation given by the people you were working with gave a huge feeling of value.
Excellent training before the internship. Worked in teams during the internship and help was always there.
For 80% of the internship there was work that I could be getting on with.
I was very lucky and was given lots of responsibility especially during my second audit, since my confidence had increased from the first audit.
I learned how important it is to get along with everyone you encounter as you never know when you might be working with them.
The Company
it was a great working environment. Staff could both get on with work and have an opportunity to catch up with friends.
My internship was very well organised. I gained great insight into audit as i was constantly working on an audit. In addition I joined both audits at the very beginning so I was able to fully see the process.
They held a training week and few more skills workshops focussing on presentation skills and teamwork. Presentation skills were not always necessary on the job, but I appreciated the fact that they took time to add value to us through these workshops.
Very appealing!
The Culture
Although not organised by the firm, the group of interns had a good spirit and organised social events weekly.
More expensive than my home town. But expected in London.
Did not really go out at night in the area
Yes there was a good work life balance, But nothing was really organised by the firm.
