The Role
I felt very well integrated in the group. People is nice and there are plenty opportunities for interaction and discussion with colleagues about each other's projects.
I received a very good response and opinions, so I felt it was a valuable piece of work for them, or at least interesting.
Although mine was quite an independent project, my colleagues were very helpful whenever I needed it.
Quite loaded with work, but with a flexible schedule, so you can manage your time quite independently.
I was responsible of my project, my nothing else beyond that.
The knowledge I've got is going useful for most activities I can carry on after graduation.
The Company
There was a nice atmosphere. People is quite focused, but there is also time for conversation in social rooms.
The process was very clear, and the multiple departments were aware of my stay.
After the first week I got an introduction to the company in terms of legal, administrative and technical issues. There were more opportunities for training, but I was unfortunate not to join as the courses were full.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I am considering to come back, and they seem interested in making a offer if positions are opened.
The Culture
There was quite a good relationship with other placement students, and good opportunities for networking and socialising after work.
Not the cheapest place, but affordable. Rent is quite variable, and food is not cheap but manageable. There are plenty of pubs with decent prices on local and international beers.
There is nightlife, many different kinds of clubs and music pubs, but I am not the best to give feedback on this as I am a "daylife" person.
Yes! I enjoyed very much joining sport events (such as running), and there were even more of them that I could not join (squash, football, etc.)
