The Role
Best summer ever! Didn't think I was going to have so much fun working, but really as cliche as it might sound, did not want it to be over
Felt good comaraderie between other interns in team work
Really lots of help and advice given by manager - fully supportive at all times of any ideas I had
Somedays were busier than others depending on what the plan for the week was.
Not too much initially, however this gradually increased as you demonstrated that you were capable of delivering.
Feeds nicely into the courses covered at uni, as well as topics beyond the scope of the syllabus!
The Company
Light hearted for the most part - people would be chatting if they did not have too much work to do!
HR did a good job in planning a seamless placement!
If you had a particular course that you would want to take part in, you could raise this with your manager.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare/Dental
Job offer!
The Culture
Scene was good as the 50 or so placement students got to know each other really well.
Good value for money, within easy access of the site.
As mentioned above, a great group of people to socialise with - many memorable nights!
A couple of charity events were organised during my placement.
