The Role
So much fun packed into the internship that it was a very memorable summer!
Got on well with the rest of the intern class, enjoyed spending time with them
Managers were willing to help, however sometimes seemed like they were more preoccupied with their own work!
Quite busy most days, as we were assigned one project with a fixed deadline. It really depended on how much you had left to do.
Could be more responsibility, in my opinion. However, we were responsible for the delivery of our assigned project.
Great for developing a better understanding of the industry and the roles at National Grid on offer to graduates
The Company
Really upbeat environment to work in, people were really sociable
I felt personally that it was well run for the most part, however I know other interns had less pleasant things to say about this...
Great feedback given in a lot of personal developmental tasks
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Fast-tracked to assesment centre for fulltime position
The Culture
Very sociable group of people - got along fine
Warwick is not cheap but not as expensive as london
Average in my opinion, however the people made up for it!
Not too much set up in the way of charity event etc.
