The Role
The internship was a great experience as I met many different people and had a real taste of what working life after I graduate would be like.
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues and I was always treated as one of the team.
There was a great support system with a buddy, mentor and manager so there was always someone you could turn to.
I was fairly busy with both the project I was given for the duration of the internship and the various events that were held every week for us.
I was given a large amount of responsibility during my internship as I had to deliver a product that would then be used by the rest of the team.
I learnt a wide variety of skills during my internship which had served to help me already in my last year at university.
The Company
Being on a trading floor while working in the technology department was the perfect mix. We had direct contact with some of our end users and it made for an enriching environment
Everything was well organised and with so many events it would have been difficult to arrange but we always knew well in advance of the events and therefore could schedule our work around them.
We received a week of training that was extremely useful. Additionally further programming training and support from our team meant the company was really invested in our development.

The Culture
All the interns organised events both during the internship and after via a facebook group.
As it was in the center of london it was not cheap.
Again as it was in the center of london there were many oppurtunities available.
Yes as stated before a facebook group for all the interns was a great way of keeping in touch.
