The Role
Working at ASDA House was great, the was a constant buzz around the office, you were always busy and had a good laugh with all my collegues at the same time.
I felt valued by my collegues, I was treat like everyone else and my opinions were always heard and considered.
my manager and collegues were always happy to help with any problems I had. I was never afraid to ask for help and they were always very willing.
the level of work I had was quite considerable, I was always busy and always had something to do. it was really good experience of how busy a workplace can get and used it to develop my organisation and time management skills.
I was responsible for forecasting sales for a range of products in store which had a weekly sales value of around £3 million a week. This was an area I solely managed so the responsibility was quite scary but a very valuable experience.
I developed many skills whilst in my role, and attended training courses designed to help me in my role. I also enroled on training courses ASDA offers for free including Leadership courses, negotiations training, commercial awareness and excel courses.
The Company
I got on really well with everyone in the office, there was always something going on in ASDA House, food sampling, special guests, product testing etc. I always looked forward to going to work because everyday was different and exciting.
the placement was designed so that you could progress at your own pace and take on initiative to progress through the work.
they invested a lot which made you feel valued.

I would definitely work at ASDA again, the post graduate schemes are very inticing as well as entry level roles within the business.
The Culture
There were many placementers at ASDA and would get along really well. My collegues at ASDA were also very friendly and would enjoy after-work drinks with them regularly.
a little bit expensive in leeds city centre but cheaper places can always be found.
