The Role
The week in general offered a good glimpse into day-to-day life at RBS, jam-packed week.
All the other participants were very keen on expanding their knowledge, yet there wasn't any real 'competition' between everyone.
Questions we may have had would almost always be answered by one of the RBS staff, there were happy to take questions.
Lots of presentations were scheduled on top of work shadowing.
Not really a chance to assume any sort of responsibility role as this was only meant to be a taster week.
Picked up lots of professional skills, though not necessarily knowledge that is directly applicable to my course
The Company
Approachable people in general, really enjoy the collaborative aspect of some of the roles available
Great, pre-timetabled event so it ran very smoothly and everyone knew what to expect and when to expect it.
The information during the course of week will help greatly with developing a deeper understanding for the roles at the bank
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Fast tracked to summer internship AC
The Culture
Great atmosphere between the participants of the week, made the time spent so much more enjoyable
Obviously, London is comparatively expensive with respect to the rest of the country
The nightlife is great in London, would definitely recommend it!
Had there been more time, it would have been good to take part in some charity work – this is apparently made available to employees
