The Role
It was great, not exactly my kind of job, but I still really enjoyed it.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
I got as much support as I wanted to, no one ever refused to help or spare a minute to explain something.
I worked hard, but at the same time had time for coffee, lunch, a bit of networking and no-one stood above measuring how long I worked for, as long as the job was being done.
I was fully responsible for the project with my manager providing guidance and help whenever it was needed.
Ability to quickly adapt to a completely new work environment, and to learn a previously unknown programming language will be very useful. Oh, and the ability to schedule meetings between three different time zones and continents :)
The Company
It was aright, moments of dullness with a bit of fun in between.
My internship was very well organized, from the day one I exactly knew what is my job and what I am supposed to be doing.
We had technological training to prepare us for a new environment we were working in.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I don't think we will see each other again, mostly because of the atmosphere and the work culture.
The Culture
It was fun :)
Central London is not cheap.
I did not go out in the area I worked in.
There was some rugby, volleyball, volunteering opportunities.
