The Role
My placement had two sub-parts - one in the UK and one in the States. I thoroughly enjoyed both.
My colleagues took their time to thank me for the work that I did and seemed to appreciate the amount of work that I had done.
I had somewhat limited contact with my manager in the UK but I knew I could generally contact someone by e-mail if I needed them.
I was very busy - even having to take work home a few times - but I enjoyed the challenge of having a larger workload than in previous years.
I was responsible for projects that would be taken forward and used without anyone in the company checking the work that I had done - I felt they placed a lot of trust in my abilities
The Company
The organisation of my placement was ood - although I know others were not as lucky!
I was able to go on a few meetings and a training course in the states that I feel were definitely beneficial.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel
Healthcare from home
I would like to work with this company in the future.
The Culture
There were a lot of other students and colleagues to socialise with
My time in the states was relatively expensive - but I made the choice to go there and it was funded through a scholarship.
My UK placement had good nightlife, but in the States it was even better!!
There were some activities as far as I knew but i didnt really look to get involved in them
