The Role
Challenging but with excellent support from colleagues.
Colleagues kept me updated on the impact of my work within the wider system, along with including me in social events held outside of work.
Always available for questions and answered helpfully.
Workload increased steadily to fairly high as I learnt more, however it was always manageable and enjoyable.
Steadily increasing level of responsibility. By the end of the internship I was working on important projects reporting directly to stakeholders outside of the main team.
Learnt important time and people management skills, along with significantly developing my programming knowledge.
The Company
A great office environment, friendly but focused.
The placement was fairly well organised, with some minor hiccups in event organisation.
Frequent seminars on how to get the best out of the internship/work, along with practice to improve soft skills such as presentations.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Received a job offer at the end of the internship, definitely intend to return.
The Culture
A good social scene both at company-organised intern events and at the frequent events organised by interns.
Pretty expensive, central London.
Similarly, brilliant nightlife as central London.
Some events were organised for activities beyond parties outside of work. Volunteering in a community garden, a charity run and a football tournament for example.
