The Role
I was given my own project to do which I was interested in.
Was doing research work that would be used in a project
Supervisor was very knowledgeable and gave me time when i needed it
I always had work to do, some parts of the task were a little tedious but that was unavoidable based on the project
I was given lots of equipment to use, but the completion of my project was not massively critical to another project
Learned many practical skills and how to use various pieces of equipment
The Company
Everyone was busy with their own work
Seemed well organised
Help was given as needed
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Lots of interesting work is done and a nice place to work
The Culture
Many sports and social clubs, although only a few placement students everyone got along and met outside work hours and at lunch
The nearest town is not particularly cheap but Southampton is
Have to travel to (or live in) Southampton
Many sports and social clubs
