The Role
I fully enjoyed my placement with Peugeot as it gave me a good understanding of the commercial arena in the automotive industry, due to having placements in different areas of the business.
Every person I met during my placement was very helpful and friendly. Also each team member I worked with valued the work I did and so I got a great sense of achievement with every project I undertook.
Every manager and supervisor in each department was very supportive and gave me the guidance I needed within each role. Mentors and buddy's were also on hand to answer any questions, no matter how big or small.
This did depend on the role and project I was working on, but there was always something to help with or work on. The managers I worked for were very approachable and so whenever I wasn't busy I told them and they made sure I had projects to work on.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement and this only grew once I showed I was willing to take on more.
The skills I have gained will help me enormously in my future studies and career as it gave me a very good grounding in the commercial arena and I will now be able to make all theory based information relevant to real life business situations.
The Company
The atmosphere was comfortable, modern and the people were very friendly.
The overall placement was well set up and every department was ready for my arrival by organising handovers and inductions.
We had a lot of intense training courses that helped us recognise our strengths and build on the business acumen we needed for our placements and would help in our future career

The placement scheme is a great opportunity to prove yourself to the company. The company recognises a good work ethic and have been open to say that there will be a job offer if I am good enough. They have also shown me that it is a great company to work for as they will invest in me and my future.
The Culture
Yes, there were lots of introductions at the beginning of the placements and so because a lot of us moved to Coventry for the placement, a social circle was naturally formed.
Coventry is cheap to live and socialise in. Leamington Spa and Warwick are a little more expensive areas.
There are lots of places to go to depending on what you want to do. You are also close to a lot of other towns and cities that also have a lot of bars/ clubs to offer.
There is a football and netball team that anyone can get involved in.
