The Role
Unfortinately you'll never have the knowledge to feel valued in 7 weeks. But you do do some important work and are helped every step of the way.
Sometimes I was very busy and others I had very little to do. Sometimes this is common for the area of work due to 'busy seasons'.
It helps you gain a very professional attitude, which is vital to future life in this sector, and most others. Other smaller skills also pop up which will be useful anywhere you go, as-well as many specific ones to deloitte should you get/take a full time job.
The Company
People are always willing to help and or chat. People do work hard and ensure they complete the work, but there is always time for a social life, whether with work or outside.
This relates to the busy season aspect again. Sometimes i was doing no work at all which obviously wasn't as beneficial to me as it could be. How-ever on the internship this can be really good as you can you it to gain knowledge elsewhere and pick peoples brains.
The first week was a great example where it was all about making us feel at home there, like we belonged. Further to this i experienced regular socials with teams i was working with, lunches a couple of times a week and 2 big socials for all the interns. We were given plenty of work to make us understand the requirements of the job and so we could also assess deloitte just as they were assessing us.

If you do the internship you will recieve feedback as you go along. In addition you will have a partner interview at the end. Apparently about 90% recieve a job offer. By taking it you give yourself a great chance of getting a full time job. After this you can complete qualifications and your prospects only go up with this.
The Culture
It's great. The interns are all of a similar character and wanting to socialise and party. The people you work with are usually quite young and also up for socials aswell.
Its London....we all know its expensive. A few bars around offer deals such as half price though which is good.
Unsure. Living in Essex i haven't really experienced it. But again, London....must be good.
Yes, like I've said regualr social events, theres sporting events as-well, i played cricket and football in my time with my departments. There's also charity events on-going as-well to participate in.
