The Role
At the start It felt like I was thrown into the deep end, but once you get the hang of the work you understand everything well. I'm glad I was treated just like any other employer
I felt like an automatic addition to the team. My team was great and I was sad to have to leave them.
My manager and supervisors were very clear what was expected of me and were well award of my position as just an intern.
I had enough work to keep me engaged, however it wasn't so much that I didn't have any breathing room.
I was working with a Scrum methodology so I was expected to take responsibility over my work, however I wasn't trusted with some major components due to my lack of experience
This placement has set me up perfectly for both university and jobs in the future
The Company
The office atmosphere was generally pretty fun, though at times you had to keep your head down and get on with your work.
It was organised just like any other employees
Apart from on the job training, there wasn't much more.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I have been offered a job for when I finish university
The Culture
We all got along quite well and went on loads of nights out together
Portsmouth was about average, though a night out could get expensive.
As expensive as it was, portsmouths night life was great
There were a few.
