The Role
Working environment very stressful and never made to feel valued. Management extremely poor and MD disconnected with the business.
Management, especially senior management, were extremely unhelpful and generally make employees feel like poor performers. People management is non-existent. Fellow telemarketers were great but all loathed coming into work.
Very little guidance. Team Leader was somewhat helpful but struggled to get support from senior management.
Some days very busy and others there was a lack of control and scheduling and things appeared to be out of control and unmanaged.
Left to get on with the job but micro-managed when not meeting targets.
Cannot see any benefit from this placement.
The Company
Amongst the students there was a good vibe but in the office the atmosphere was depressed and lethargic. Some managers openly bad-mouthed others which made me feel awkward.
This company is very badly managed and disorganised which affected the performance of myself and my team.
Little opportunity to develop and grow. Get the feeling they are extracting every last bit of life out of you because you will not be around for long.
Even in these bad times I would not take up a placement at this company and would definitely not recommend it to any student.
The Culture
This wasn't bad actually.
Reading is not that cheap but does have some ok nightlife.
No.
