The Role
Almost all aspects of the job were enjoyable. There was no task which I found to be particularly unenjoyable.
All members of the finance department were friendly and approachable, and I always felt that I could ask for their advice/assistance with any queries I had.
As per question 3.
My levels of activity fluctated depending upon the time of the year/month. Generally, there was always enough work to keep me busy.
For certain tasks I was given a high level of responsibilty (managing the debit card program for example), however for other tasks I was understandably given less responsibilty.
N/A. I have not restarted any studying since my placement ended.
The Company
Understandably, in such a busy work environment there was not much chance for 'fun'. However, there was still a good atmosphere in the office and everyone was very friendly.
There was always work available to keep myself and the other interns busy throughout the whole 12 months.
As I was only there for 12 months the personal training I received was fairly limited. Though the training I did receive was very useful in helping me carry out my work.
National Travel
I am already considering applying for a DEG (Direct Entry Graduate) position with them.
The Culture
There were intern events organised for every fortnight, ranging from simple things like visits to the pub to more complex evens such as weekends away.
I did not live in the area, I commuted daily, so I am not best placed to answer this question.
Being so close to a major city centre (Bristol) there was always a wide choice of pubs/clubs to visit.
Similarly to question 14, being so close to a City Centre the number of activities available were extensive.
