The Role
It was a good enjoyable day, because we got time to break and socialise throughout the day and also have a mixer with employees at the end.
The Ernst & Young employees treated us with respect and like adults. They valued our opinions and took notice of our ideas.
As much as we were left in our groups so that they could in some ways assess us, they did make sure we knew what we were doing beforehand. We didn't struggle and did manage to do what they asked, however I am sure if people were struggling, they would have helped.
We had different tasks leading to the final presentation all day, so was quite busy. However, we were given breaks in order for us to chill out a bit, which was good.
We were put into groups to deal with a client, so we had a lot of responsibility, presenting our ideas to the client and receiving feedback.
The feedback we were given was great and has been really effective for me in other interviews and presentations I've had to do since.
The Company
Although everyone was slightly nervous at first, because we didn't know anyone, everyone made us feel at ease.
It was really well organised, with schedules and breaks, which were provided with food and drinks. We had stationery given to us, resources we needed and time for us to chill.
They took on board our ideas and listened to us thoroughly.
I start next September on their School Leavers programme.
The Culture
Talking to the graduates and school leavers there, they said there's also social opportunities.
London is expensive, but salaries are good, so living should be ok.
Really good! But pricey (London prices).
They had lots of opportunities to socialise and meet to do activities outside, including sports etc.
