The Role
Very enjoyable, a mix of fun activities and valuable skills based activities, with plenty of breaks and food.
Everyone was very welcoming and wanted us to feel comfortable on the day, which was helped by the team ice breaker activities.
Everything was very well organised. We began by getting a full overview of what was going to happen on the day, and each we had a member of Ernst and Young in each group to support and guide us through the day.
There were lots of activities through the day, at no point were any of us bored or uninterested.
We were given the chance to take the lead in the tasks; we controlled the outcomes as a group and weren't told exactly what to do or how to do anything, which really built up our skills, but was given all the guidance and information we needed and asked for.
I am 100% sure that I will use the skills, feedback and advice given to me on the day, and am staying in contact with some of my team members at the event.
The Company
Even though most people began the day quite nervous, everyone quickly got into a relaxed mood and the atmosphere became more fun and energetic.
No faults at all with timings, planning, and the overall outcome from the main tasks.
The people who were working with us were genuinely interested in our opinions, ideas and development.
Going on an Insight Day is the first step towards a full time career with Ernst and Young, as it means some stages of the initial assessment can be missed when applying for year long internships and then possibly a graduate job.
The Culture
Everyone was warm, welcoming and wanted to get along.
