The Role
It was hard adjusting to full time work and commuting, and the day to day work was quite boring and laborious. I personally didn't enjoy day to day life during the internship, but that was more due to my personal preferences than the firm.
I felt valued to an extent but due to the lack of technical training received, I was quite limited to how I could actually contribute to the tasks at hand
There was a lot of support available. In general I did feel some of the guidance was mis -leading with respect to how to apply to different divisions and locations. The process was very restrictive in allowing you to move to where you personally wanted to be. Aside from this though there was many opportunities to ask for help.
I interned in a quiet period and therefore often had nothing to do. This was not really the departments fault however.
I was given a good amount of responsibility, giving a presentation with other managers to partners on changing tax law.
I would highly recommend the experience as an opportunity to find out about your own skills, as the process was invaluable in helping me decide where i want to place my self as a graduate.
The Company
The atmosphere was very quiet and the interns were not invites to many social events.
It was well organised.
The company spent a lot of time and money on all the interns.
secured a graduate role.
The Culture
I really enjoyed the interns i met.
Exactly what you would expect.
Good nightlife,
Not during the internship, but there was for employees generally
