The Role
A really great experience of a world class firm in the centre of London; next to London Bridge!
Felt complete respect and support from other's on the insight day and staff there, made some good friends.
Was given accurate and completely useful personal feedback on performance in terms of employability skills e.g. Giving presentations.
Was a challenge at times; being thrown in the deep end; but a great experience; definitely beats a lazy job any day if you are looking to develop yourself.
Everyone in the team of 4-5 were given an equal responsibility; a part of the presentation and role to fulfil.
The deep end definitely served as a real reinforcement to confidence, and gave really helpful tips on presentation skills, and a real insight into a Financial Service job.
The Company
Was exciting workign as a team, being given interesting projects and seeing how things unfolded as the day went by.
Very organised & structured. When they serve the amazing food in the buffet; do get stuck in and eat as much as you can before socialising! or you'll be regretting not filling yourself up before the next project unfolds.
Made a whole few floor of the 'tower' available for the insight day, structured day with excellent inspiring talks and food. Have whole sectors of their firm invested in student recruitment and hire actors in order to enrich project insights.
Get your foot in the door and you can go anywhere! (WIthin a Financial Service focussed direction, of course)
The Culture
Was great meeting the other say 50 students my age there, the ice breakers were fun..
It's London. . . But the firm have plenty of perks I'm sure and the contacts you meet wil open up many doors to free evenings out in luxury locations.
I'm sure there is a good nightlife there.
I heard there were gyms & facilities within the very building itself.
