The Role
It was great doing an internship where you're doing the job that you would as a graduate.
Everyone at EY made myself and the other interns feel welcome, from the graduates to the partners. We knew the work we were doing was important.
The people I worked with were really helpful, I could always ask questions and get good feedback on work.
As with any job there were busy times and quiet times, but the overall balance. There was always work to do if you looked for it, and the workload was never more that I could handle.
The job the interns do is the same work that would be expect of a graduate, so we were expected to talk to clients and do work which would contribute to the final report.
The work I did at EY really adds perspective to what I am studying at university. It's good to see what the 'real world' version of accounting is like, compared to what we learn in the classroom.
