The Role
A really great internship scheme, I would greatly recommend it - it is hard work, sociable and fun. Wouldn't want more from an internship scheme.
Really supportive atmosphere and feel valued. Very inclusive and caring approach taken by the firm.
Really well established buddy and career counsellor schemes in place. Since being offered a graduate job the firm continues to make contact with us, provide support and keep us involved in the firm.
Tasks were in place for if we had absolutely nothing to do, such as web-based learning. However, in reality, if you asked colleagues or managers for some more work they were more than happy to share some of their work with you, teach you some new skills and keep you occupied.
A fair amount, within reason. When given a task to do, we were allowed the freedom to run with it and make it our own. I also had exposure to clients via numerous off-site meetings and to other service lines within the firm.
Very much so, it was a great opportunity to work in a corporate environment. Plus the firm has been very enthusiastic to discuss my final year dissertation topic with me as well.
The Company
Really friendly, everyone was happy for a chat. The open plan building design means that there are no individual offices, which helps to create a very approachable team atmosphere.
Very impressive, I was taken by surprise at how efficient the firm were! From the moment you apply, through your interview process and once you are there in the summer they are really geared up.
They provided a couple of days induction training to introduce are better to the firm and allow us to network with other interns. Numerous social events throughout the scheme allowed us to network with both interns and other employees. We were given proper work and exposure to client facing situations. Colleagues were more than happy to sit down with you and explain things, or even take you out for a coffee to get to know you better and help choose the path in the firm most suitable for you. Buddy and career counsellor schemes ensured that all was well in terms of pastoral care and even when back at university they get you involved in social events with other interns from your university.

They aim to take on 90% of their interns. They invest a lot in you, so will obviously try to retain the talent.
The Culture
We were out three or four nights a week, be it with other interns or colleagues. Fantastic social scene, even when it comes to all going for lunch together too.
London is expensive, but for most events drinks and nibbles are supplied by the firm.
Pretty good - a perk of being in London!
We had a career fair to show us what we could join if we were working full time as grads at the firm. It ranged from charities to netball, basketball and football clubs. Seemed quite varied, but could only really join once we had graduated and joined the firm properly.
