The Role
I really got on with everyone on the scheme and the staff were great.
I had a varied selection of work from people of all levels.
We all had trainee contacts available to help us and HR were also very supportive and easy to talk to.
I had lots of work including some from partners, but I never had work forced on me if I already felt too busy.
My work was always checked by a trainee or associate before passing it on, but I had a good selection of work including attending meetings with counsel and client conferences.
We had lots of department talks to tell us more about other opportunities, and also negotiation and presentation training.
The Company
I got on really well with other people on the scheme and there was a general open-door atmosphere amongst those who worked there.
The HR team were very helpful and informative, we received a booklet of information at the start of the scheme.
There were plenty of opportunities to take on more work and push yourself outside your comfort zone with the group exercises.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Some trainees were worried about the merger but the firm seems to have maintained a good retention rate.
The Culture
Lots of people were commuting so could not stay long at the events, but it was still lots of fun.
Normal for central London
The office is near Shoreditch which was a great place to go out, but also an easy commute into central London.
There were lots of great firm socials and training exercises, and our supervisors definitely encouraged us to go on them.
