The Role
It was lots of hard work but I learnt a lot about the firm and was definitely glad I chose to do this internship.
All the vacation scheme students seemed very busy, but we were given lots of help and advice along the way.
We all had trainees available to help us if we were stuck on anything, and also associate contacts. The partners were also happy to meet for a chat about the firm.
There were some late nights but it was worth it for the variety of work I had.
Everything I did was checked by my trainee, but I was doing important and necessary jobs.
We had department talks to go to as well as some other training exercises that gave me a good insight into the skills I need to develop in the role of a trainee.
The Company
Everyone was very hard working but they were always available to help - it was a friendly atmosphere and the trainees were keen to come out with us.
HR were very helpful and we knew what activities we would be doing well in advance.
There were lots of training activities and we did receive feedback after the scheme. There was an opportunity to interview for a training contract for everyone who wished to.

Company Parties/Events
The vacation scheme did seem to increase your chances of gaining a training contract; also all the trainees seemed very happy there and keen to stay on.
The Culture
There were lots of company organised events, but sometimes not everyone made it because they had too much work or were commuting.
Normal for London
Very close to central and a very easy commute to anywhere you'd want to go out in London.
We were able to attend several trainee events if we chose to and there were as mentioned lots of socials organised by the firm for the vacation scheme students.
