The Role
Good working environment and great colleagues but it is such a big company and therefore it takes months to get anything done. Very frustrating at times!
Very welcoming as they are used to having graduates/placement students and many people there did a similar placement when they were younger
If I asked, my managers helped me. Otherwise they just left me to myself
It took ages for people to reply to my emails so I was quite bored for a lot of the time
Project managing on a variety of jobs
Invaluable work experience which greatly aided my view of a working environment
The Company
Always chatted to everyone in the office, sometimes the chats ran well over an hour and no one cared!
Poorly run by the HR department but my department was well organised when I got there
Gave me a variety of jobs to do
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Very good with one year left of uni (fast tracked through the grad scheme)
The Culture
Made friends myself but with 70 other interns it wasn't hard!
Bristol is an expensive city to go out in
Fantastic nightlife, large city made it easy to have a good time. Large amount of pubs well within walking distance
Large city so if you look for it, you can find it. I joined a gym and constantly met up with friends for out of work activities
