The Role
I came away from the placement feeling very proud of my year and I am very much looking forward to going back.
Nearly everyone I worked with was very welcoming and treated me with respect even though I was so much younger and less experienced.
At EY you get assigned a Counsellor who are your point of call if you are struggling. I never really had to use mine for help however, because each manager I had on a new project were all really supportive.
There were only a handful of times that I was 'bored.' And I rarely was too busy that I couldn't cope.
The responsibility I was given grew as the year went on. By the end, I was given tasks to complete by myself and to create documents specifically for the client.
I received lots of training, I learnt extensively on programmes such as Excel and I developed many skills to take forward with me in the future.
The Company
The atmosphere was usually better in project rooms as opposed to the office floor. And Fridays are always good fun.
Never had any admin or HR problems
