    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my placement. The opportunities for development were amazing compared to friends placements. The team atmosphere and getting to see the other placement students were a bonus too!

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • There were times when I felt I wasn't really needed but most of the time people were happy to have the help and eager to train me.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There was always someone to go to if I had a problem.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was often very very busy but I enjoy being busy and constantly challenged so it was something I enjoyed.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The responsibility increased throughout the year but it was never too much to manage. If I felt it was too much too soon somebody was always there to help out. After leaving the placement I found I really missed the responsibility, I never thought i'd get the chance to run my own store at 20!

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I really feel that both my professional and personal skills developed throughout the year. These skills will hopefully help me attain a good degree and do well after Uni. When visiting Graduate Fairs employers are often interested in the fact that I did a placement at Lidl as it's very well respected!

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everybody works hard and there is very little downtime but I feel that this really pulled the team together as everybody had a part to play.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The only bad point was turning up on my first day at store and nobody knowing I was coming! Apart from that everything from the application process to the end of the placement was very well structured.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Did everything they could!

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I've been offered a graduate job.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
