The Role
Graduate recruitment made me feel welcomed immediately into the firm. For instance, on the first day we met our buddy (an associate in the firm) whom took us out to lunch and shared their experiences.
My colleagues made me feel like a valued member by constantly asking me for my opinions on various topics. In addition more senior staff took opportunities to talk to us while we were in the office.
We were assigned a counsellor from day one which meant that if we had any problems we contact them as the first port of call. Graduate recruitment were also always on hand to help if we had any specific issues eg holidays.
I was busy throughout my time, however, there was still enough time to do administrative tasks. Finishing at 5 was not always standard!
We were given a good level of responsibility for the work we were able to perform. When I asked for more work, colleagues were able to explain and trust me to work on more complex assignments.
I will take on board the communication, teamwork and problem solving skills which I can utilise during my degree and also in the world of work.
The Company
The office had an enjoyable atmosphere, lots of the placement students were able to sit close together which made it great.
I received all information promptly and I felt that communication from HR was extremely effective.
Given the mentors, counsellors and buddies allocated to spend time, I believe the firm invested a significant amount of their resources.

Company Parties/Events
I had a great time and I would like to be considered for employment in the future. Will have to wait and see.
The Culture
Students would normally arrange nights out in the local area at least once a week.
Location was London so generally higher than the national average.
London has an unrivalled nightlife and it was great to have the opportunity to unwind in unique places in London.
Other than the placement organised activities there were not too many other activities.
