The Role
The years placement went by so quickly and I already have a few exams under my belt which has really helped my work, so I'd say that I very much enjoyed my time.
I really felt valued by my counsellor and buddy who were assigned on the first day. My buddy took me out for dinner when we started which really was a good way to break the ice.
On each engagement you are assigned a senior or work closely with a second year graduate. You are never left in the dark and although at times (especially during busy season) the workload can be a bit overwhelming, it was a good learning experience.
On a daily basis I was always given sufficient work, when you have a few hours to spare there is always something else to be getting on with, like admin, or timesheet!
Towards the end of the year, I noticed that I was given more responsibility.
Being in audit, you develop problem solving skills and softer skills such as communication skills. My time management skills have also been greatly improved which will help beyond my degree.
The Company
Varied depending on the team you were working with but generally the atmosphere was lively.
The placement was well organised on the whole!
They paid for me to sit two exams which involved tuition and materials at college which shows that even though you are there for a year, the firm is committed to your development.

I'm looking forward to going back there after my final year of university if all is well.
The Culture
I knew all of the other industrial placement students, so yes, and we all took part in a CSR project together which was good networking.
Fairly expensive given that it was central London.
Great, I can't fault the nights out in London.
We had the chance to participate in a range of activities and I took part in the badminton club and pool tournament.
