The Role
Very friendly atmosphere. Opportunities to get involved in different events and different areas of the business. Clothing is smart casual to create a more relaxing environment. Facilities are great with a canteen and a cinema in head office building.
Treated as a equal and work on a wide variety of jobs. Feel as my work contributes and treated the same as full time employees.
Guided through every area of work and encouraged to ask questions and not shy away from difficulties.
Never have a prolonged period of time without a job. Encouraged to take breaks that I’m entitled to.
The skills that i have learnt/learning will help to improve my quality of work for my degree (e.g. Excell). However the work i do is difficult to apply to university work.
The Company
Hard working but relaxed with the ability to talk to other employees about anything. There are communal areas to meet new people such as kitchens.
Great change over with the old placement coaching me for a week. Given a hand over booklet to refer to.
A lot of time. Given one to ones with my line manager and objectives to achieve to show my improvement. Extra Training is given with the ability to attend talks from senior members of staff and external talks in the inbuilt cinema. Companies such as Skype, Spotify and The Economist.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Unknown but have spoken to others employees that had a placement here. So does seem a possibility.
The Culture
There is a Facebook page for placement students to arrange socials. There are events but they are mostly arranged outside of the company e.g. Unofficial Christmas and Halloween parties
London pricies.
Mostly go to areas in central london and Kensington.
There are a handfull of outside activities but the company does let you know about them. Lots of charity events.
