The Role
It was a great opportunity to understand the accountancy sector whilst gaining an insight into the team structures and working environment.
My team and managers were very supportive and I benefit a lot from this constant activity and contact.
Management and senior management were reviewing my progress fortnightly and I would have the opportunity to discuss with them any various issues and advice.
The workload was not too stressful and I would be out of the office by 5.30pm at the latest.
I was completing work for those who were absent and also individual projects set by my manager throughout the internship
These will be life long skills and they can be drawn upon any situations such as working in a team
The Company
The team were very enthusiastic and were fun to be around, going to work wasn't a chore!
All the tasks planned I could see took a lot of time and effort by my team and the socialising aspect by HR. Everything was provided
learning information, online teaching, management teaching and guidance.
I got a graduate job to start in the future and will definitely take it after this enjoyable experience.
The Culture
The students were a lot more relaxed and calm compared to other banking internships I have done, a great change of atmosphere.
London is expensive but they provide you salaries and discounted lunches so it wasn't too bad overall.
We indulged in loads of different activities which were both educational and just awesome.
I played 5 a side football with other students weekly which was organised by employees which was great fun
