The Role
The placement was enjoyable and well structured to benefit from exposure to the sector
My team were extremely friendly and we got on very well, they provided great help when I needed feedback on my reports.
My manager sat opposite me so I was constantly in direct contact and could go to them if I needed any support or guidance.
The work load was stressful and expected but there was plenty of time for socialising in and out of the work environment.
I was left to complete projects on my own a lot to do my own research which helped develop me to work independently and not constantly askl for guidance.
The programme was structured to enhance technical and logical knowledge so these aspects were great
The Company
It was a high pressurised environment, which required a lot of give and take generally most people were friendly but some were constantly devoted to their work.
The organisation and structure was immaculate. It ran seamlessly with no diversions from the set out schedule provided.
The firm invested a great deal of resources providing us with course packs and relevant learning platforms to aid our knowledge
I was offered an assessment centre in order to interview further for the graduate programme
The Culture
The interns were all up for the work hard, play hard ethos, so it was not only a work placement but made many friends in the process.
Extremely expensive going to bars and clubs spending in excess of £50 for a good night out.
Loads of different activities and events going on constantly and the vibe of central London is amazing
I'm sure there were I didn't manage to get involved with any of the activities as it was quite a short placement.
