The Role
The PwC Insight Academy was a great opportunity to network and learn more about the accounting industry
We didn't have any direct contact with PwC Employees of different divisions but worked in teams with our peers.
We were given a specific work schedule at the beginning of the week which outlined all the various tasks and HR were on hand if we needed any help.
Everyday started early and there were events towards the evening, there was a good work and socialising balance that they provided.
No real responsibility were given to the spring interns due to the nature of it being away from the office.
The programme was designed to inform us but mainly enhance the key employability skills and ones which would be used in a work place
The Company
We were based at an outside location so we didn't get to experience what office base work would be like.
The structure and content of the programme was extremely useful and all tasks were specifically time planned.
We were taken to a resort everything was paid for and all resources and learning resources provided and overall was a great learning experience
Was offered an internship off the back of performing well during the tasks in the Insight Week
The Culture
The students were able to interact in a totally relaxed environment where we were able to make many new relationships.
It was outside London in a resort so all expenses were paid for!
There wasn't any directly there, but PwC provided us with evening entertainment.
Not too sure due to the nature of it being an Insight Week but I'm sure if employed there would be many available groups and activities.
