The Role
Overall, it was a tough day full of team exercises which simulated the sort used in an assessment centre. I personally found it really beneficial!
I felt that the organisers of the day really put in a lot of effort to keep us engaged throughout.
No specific management or supervisors but the organisers did answer any potential burning questions during the day.
It was an extremely busy day which ended in the evening! It wasn't overwhelming but it required you to be attentive throughout.
This is difficult to say as the insights day was just a day of getting to know EY and the potential tasks you may face so no responsibility was delegated.
I learnt that my strengths were communication and taking the role of the leader. My weaknesses were also pointed out through good feedback.
The Company
The office had a great atmosphere and the employees whom we met were genuine about how they feel about working at Ernst & Young.
There was a strict timetable for the day to follow and this relatively ran to plan.
The company invested in me by providing employees to come and listen to our discussions and provide feedback which was beneficial to our personal development.
I was considered for an interview on the internship post applying for the insights scheme.
The Culture
This was a one day event and we did not get to go out.
I imagine that living and working in London is more expensive than average.
From what I know, London has one of the best nightlifes around the UK.
This was not possible unfortunately due to it being a 1 day insight day.
