The Role
Although I enjoyed the work I was doing there were moments where there was nothing much to do.
Quite familiar with all of them but obviously as I am only there for a short amount I am not 'like family' with them!
Very well, if there was something that I wanted to do or see then my manager did his best to organise it.
I would have liked to have been more busy, there were moments where there wasn't much too do.
I was given some responsibility but nothing that was too serious which is understandable given my role, I was happy with the amount I was given.
I feel that I have learnt more managerial skills from my co-workers as I worked in an office environment for a majority of the time, so I didn't learn that much technical content that would help me directly with my degree, but this experience has been useful for work purposes
The Company
It was ok
There could have been more preparation so there was more work to do that would last the whole placement
I was given the opportunity to attend training courses that would enhance my knowledge of rolling stock so that everything the team does made more sense.
Flexi Time
National Travel
I think that I have gained a good background in tfl over the past couple of months so if I was to return next summer I would be able to have more responsibility as I already have some understanding of what is done.
The Culture
Yes the other interns were nice people and we all got on well and socialised after work sometimes or during lunch
I already in live in London so didn't have to pay for accomodation but it is generally expensive to socialise
But this is because I already live in London and have loads of friends here already so I mainly went out with them not really any work people or interns
Not really, all my social activities weren't really with work people
