The Role
This was an intense few weeks but it was well worth it. I got to experience a fragment of what I wish to do in the future and I loved it.
I really feel that my colleagues were the ones whom got me through the internship. Having supportive and friendly staff made all the difference.
I never once felt left alone in the dark. My managers were very supportive and guided me when I needed help and support with my work.
I was pretty busy most days. There were some moments where I had no work and I was left to wait for a manager to become free before I got given more work. Fortunately this was rare. Average time I left the office during the internship was about 7.30.
I was given an acceptable level of responsibility given my position. When I asked for further responsibility, the managers were supportive to aid my needs.
I learnt a great deal especially with respect to time management. I also feel that my skills whilst working in a group have been enhanced through various group activities during the course of the internship.
The Company
There was a good atmosphere in my division. I was aware though that not all divisions had the same ambiance, such as the trading floor.
I found that the internship was organised very well. I received all correspondence from HR prior to the internship. HR were also very helpful with regards to informing me of how many days I holiday I was eligible for.
We initially had a week of training which was very beneficial for my day to day work. Apart from that the firm organised a number of socials for all the interns which was great to relax and unwind after a day of work.

Company Parties/Events
The prospects are good as they aim to convert the majority to the interns depending on the business requirements.
The Culture
This was excellent, there was a large group of interns whom regularly went out in the local area, especially on a Thursday.
Living in the heart of London comes at a steep price but fortunately I lived at home during the internship.
The nightlife was incredible. I really enjoyed the socials that the firm provided for us. It was a great opportunity to network and get to know all of the interns.
There were a number of activities but unfortunately due to the late finishing times I was unable to participate in them.
