The Role
All round great place to work
It's quite obvious that every undergrad is given genuine responsibility and makes a significant contribution to the business, GYDU are keen to get the most out of all their staff.
Both my manager and his assistant are allways happy to help and will often pause what they are doing when I need help, couldn't ask for any more.
Work load builds from the start until I reached a steady flow of work and projects
I was very impresssed with the amount of responsibility and freedom in some respects given throughout the placement, great experience for both my final year at Uni and my future career
Combination of real life marketing practise and organised training sessions on subjects like presentation skills were all par for the course
The Company
I sat near 5 undergrads and there are about 12 in the whole office so there's never a dull moment!
My boss always had quite a clear vision of the work he wanted me to produce and prioritise
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The Culture
Couldn't ask for anymore, I played football every Thursday and was often out on weekends as well with people from work.
Birmingham is very cheap compared to down south for almost everything
