The Role
I found my project and my role within it challenging but very intersting.
My team were fantastic and from the moment I arrived I felt ocmpletely at ease.
I met with my line manager every week and several one-to-ones with a senior director of the business.
Given I had my own project to work on, I was able to manage my time effectively, and was rarely rushed.
I was able to meet with senior managers and discuss their business requirements, which I found very rewarding
My placement was unrelated to my degree, but the new business techniques I learnt will definitely stay with me and help me in future jobs.
The Company
Everyone took their jobs very seriously, but there was always room for a bit of fun.
I thought the internship was very well structured, with clear goals and support networks.
I was sent on a Treasury Open Day, which gave me a thorough background training on all areas of the business, and which I found very helpful.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I would definitely consider applying for a graduate position.
The Culture
There were only two students on placement at the time I was there, so it could get a little lonely, but there was always sporting events going on which you could involved with.
I found the cost very reasonable
Some nice pubs.
Lots of sports clubs to get involved with.
