The Role
Truly enjoyed my placement. Could not have realistically asked for it to be better!
Still playing football with them. Quality lads.
Always felt supported and challenged
Work happened in phases as should be expected with the sort of accountancy I was doing.
I was challenged to see what responsibility was right for me and due to a lack of experience I was given less than I wanted but it is all about adding value to the business
I want to work in audit so having experience of accountancy is invaluable.
The Company
Always a joke or two flying around. Went on a run with my mentor and would start most days with a full English breakfast.
There were issues which I am assured have been cleared up since I gave the feedback. I should find out soon as I have been invited back!
I felt that I was valued and invested in. I attended a Longview training course and we had two nice pub lunches!
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered another internship within Nationwide and I am certain that I will go and work there one day! Whether this comes after my plan to join KPMG or instead of is totally undecided upon.
The Culture
There were three of us from the same college and we regularly met up with each other to have a chat and relax together.
I live here and so I have little to compare it to.
Football, banter and general fun.
Exactly that. They come to you and you can seek them out!
