The Role
Struggled at times to get the people I needed and I found this quite frustrating. When I got time with the people I needed I enjoyed my responsibilities a bit more.
People I spoke to seemed genuinely interested in what I was trying to achieve and it seemed like the work I was doing would really benefit the company.
I was given full support by my manager, even though he was extremely busy at times.
Sometimes the work was a bit slow and I think it would have been better if I was given some tasks to do when I couldn't get access to the people I needed.
I was given full responsibility over my project area, with support when I needed it.
I gained not much technical knowledge but the sheer number of people I had to quickly build relationships with and ask for advice has given me the confidence to do the same in future without any hesitation.
The Company
Quite subdued and serious.
Very well set up.
A day long course on "Making A Personal Impact." 8 weeks of working in a professional environment.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Healthcare from home
Seems like a good company to work for.
The Culture
There were 15 Power Academy students so there was plenty of social opportunities.
More expensive than home in Glasgow but still affordable.
Reasonably good in Leamington but would be better during term time when students are around.
A fair amount.
