The Role
Very much. Great work load, opportunities for development and training, great working culture.
Definitely like family, they work to your strengths and look to develop you as a future working professional.
We would have regular catchups to discuss progress, they are available if you ever need help on an assignment.
As the months build, they assigned you with more responsibilities. I would say there is good balance in my day-to-day work.
Quite alot, there were a variety of tasks and projects to get involved in. One day you may be organising tours, on another day inviting delegates to events and increasing media exposure for the company.
I has developed at a phenomenal level, when I first entered into the job I had no previous knowledge on the tyre industry. The training and support have made many of the business theories from university come to life. The placement has also taught me many lessons on autonomy, responsibility and team work.
The Company
Very good, people are dedicated to their roles but they also know how to have a good laugh. Very positive working atmosphere.
Very organised, the induction day and quarterly training courses kept students informed and allowed for continuous development. The roles and responsibilities were clear and we had regular meetings to discuss overall satisfaction and progress of the placement.
HR had created a great package developing a number of skills essential to your career and your progress in the organisation. The courses were both informative and interactive.

Commuted, so cost was low. Transport and social events were affordable.
Very good, many places to go including Star City, Broad Street and Brindley Place.
Yes, the company had regular sports matches and gym events. Was also involved in the student committee.
