The Role
For someone who has done vacation schemes previously at regional firms I thought Stephenson Harwood's scheme was particularly excellent especially in terms of structure.
As is the case with all work experience placements what you can do to help is limited, and therefore sometimes you can feel of no use. This is inevitable however and is by no means the fault of Stephenson Harwood.
The buddy and supervisor system was well thought out and effective.
The combination of talks and department time meant that we were never left with nothing to do. If you wanted additional work there was always more to be given.
I feel the firm gave me as much as they logically could considering I had no legal training.
This was my first internship at a city firm and it will stay with me throughout my career.
