The Role
Good placement, thoroughly enjoyable.
My colleagues have a great attitude towards work, whilst still finding time to have some fun and keeping safety as priority.
Good advice was always given.
The workload was quite well balanced in general.
I was given responsibility for some important tasks. Training is key here, make sure you know what you are trained to do!
The skills I have gained have been invaluable.
The Company
Great atmosphere in the office! Everyone is friendly, however hard work also takes place.
The industrial placement was set up well, however being the only industrial student on site wasnt ideal. I lived with Teeside University students to get around this problem.
The training I have received whilst on placement has been good.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
EDF also has a large graduate scheme so many industrial placements can lead onto a graduate placement.
The Culture
Many nights out were organised by my colleagues and the company and they were thoroughly enjoyable.
I lived in Middlesbrough which is much cheaper than down south!! EDF have many sites around the country though.
The nightlife was ok but I didn't take part in it much after the first few weeks.
There were opportunities, but I kept my weekends for relaxing mostly!
