  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The experience within EDF has been excellent. There are a number of great development and networking opportunities.

  • My workload is of a similar calibre to that of my colleagues and I generally feel valued.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I have a reasonably close working relationship with all Management staff throughout the site. Support is generally available when required.

  • The workload can fluctuate quite dramatically, ranging from being exceptionally busy to occasionally being relatively quiet.

  • The majority of the tasks undertaken were were reasonably important.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • A number of skills developed throught my time with EDF will benefit my future education and employment - communication etc.

  • On completion of the Industrial Placement scheme there are great opportunities to move onto the graduate scheme.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Limited opportunities due to the reduced number of students working on site.

  • N/A - Live in Edinburgh - roughly 45 minutes drive away

  • Busy nightlife in Edinburgh. Not so great in more local areas.
